With a BS in Marine Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy, Steve has held key roles throughout his 23-year career at SMS, demonstrating expertise and leadership in the field. Steve is responsible for managing SMS’ consulting practice and overseeing the Sustainability Brand reselling relationship with IBM. His extensive expertise spans all implementation and deployment phases of Enterprise Asset Management systems, with a notable focus on IBM Maximo Enterprise Asset Management and Maximo Application Suite (MAS).

Steve played a crucial role in the early adoption and market support of IBM’s MAS, showcasing leadership in Maximo Manage, APM, Mobile, and Maximo Visual Inspection.Prior to his 23-year tenure at SMS, Steve held roles as a Steam Turbine Engineer at GE/PenPower and seagoing Marine Engineer in the United States Merchant Marine, contributing to his well-rounded understanding of the industry.
